Welcome to my Adopt a Stray in May project! This is my second year running this project, as I think the start of summer is the *perfect* time to welcome a new pup into your family. Great weather for walking, easy to potty train with lots of outdoor time, and frankly, just a fantastic summer treat!
My first featured dog this year is Fancy! Isn’t she beautiful? She’s from a reservation up north where she wandered as a free-roaming dog.
Since living with her foster, she’s learned the ropes of living with people, and loves her family interactions. Fancy is *super* friendly and good and mellow with other dogs. She’s a couch potato who is happy to chill all day long, but she loves exploring on her walks as well (she’s new to the leash life, but learns quickly!). She especially loves to check out forests etc and has been known to have a run-in or two with porcupines!
Fancy is great in a crate when her owners need to leave the house, so that’s never an issue. She probably shouldn’t be in a home with cats (see the porcupine issues above) and does better with older, teenage children.
You can see Fancy’s adoption information here. Wouldn’t she be a great addition this summer?!
