This is Lulu, and you guys, she is FANTASTIC. She is some sort of little hound mix and she's super submissive and just rolls over for tummy rubs all the time. Photo evidence provided.She is 6.5 yrs old and she has a bad case of heartworms that she's healing up from at the moment. Because of this, she can go for short walks, but she'll never be your running companion. She's been in foster care since January, and is just about ready to find her forever home (waiting on one final x-ray for a clean bill of health).This girl likes things calm. She probably shouldn't live in an apartment or townhouse as she likes to alert you (by barking) when she hears noises. She likes other (calm) dogs and kids, but due to her huntress nature outdoors, the foster is thinking cats might be a bad idea. She walks well on a leash and loves car rides. And really? This is Abby, and she is gonna be a GREAT dog for someone! She's a puggle (pug/beagle mix) and she was surrendered because her mom moved into assisted living and couldn't take a dog with her.She is super friendly and outgoing and acts way, way younger than her age (which is 12). She would be your shadow in the house, following you from room to room, and she loves to snuggle on the couch. She's great on walks and loves to ride in the car and and in general is very trusting and loving. She is crate trained and house trained. Go get her now! You can find her adoption information here!

This is Klaus! He's a dalmatian pit bull mix who was found as a stray in Dallas and has been in Minnesota for just a few weeks. He's 3 years old, and he is a sweetie. He loves to lean into you, to snuggle and to surprise you with kisses. He loves walks outside, but does not require a fenced in yard! He's good with other dogs, cats and probably kids (it hasn't been tested yet, but he's super agreeable). He also loves car rides!He is, however, afraid of cameras. So be warned. This is Will, and he's been in foster for more than a year. Considering this sweet boy is only two years old, that's a long time! Half his life! Let's get this boy a home!He was found in a ditch in Alabama, and he was brought up here where he's been a great foster. Willie is a touch fearful, but once you earn his trust he is amazingly loyal. He was a perfect gentleman in the studio with me (loads of treats and a calm demeanor are key for this guy), and he's super food motivated. He's crate trained and would love a big yard to run and sniff in. This is Kiara! She's just under two years old and is a gorgeous mix breed. She's not too big (42 lbs), and is super calm and easy going. She is good with dogs and kids (but would need slow and easy introductions), but she does like to hunt, so cats are probably not a good fit. She's well trained and smart and, uh, stubborn. She knows the word for down. She knows you want her to lay down. But she's just going to stare right back at you because she just doesn't feel like it right now. Which is charming and hilarious, but you might need to work on a little if you bring her home.She is crate trained and potty trained and would be a great addition to many homes. This is Wash. Do you remember him from last year? He has still has not been adopted, and this makes me terribly sad. I'm including some of his puppy photos here so you can see how much he's grown.Wash trotted into my studio this year and couldn't wait to sniff me and say hello. He's super friendly and warm, and I was baffled at why he had not found a forever home yet!But this boy gets pretty nervous in new situations, and as soon as I squatted down on the floor with my camera, he began barking. He eventually settled down, but I think he's having a tough time finding a home because his first impression on new people might be tough. And he's BIG. And he has a LOUD BARK. And those things can be scary if you're not around dogs a lot.I am really hoping Wash here can find a loving home with a family that wants to train with him and work with him to make him into the best boy he can be. This is Oscar, and he is the friendliest and most charming Chihuahua I have ever met! He is 2-3 years old and was found at a trailer park north of the cities. He had been living alone outside and was extremely malnourished with hardly any fur and his skin was literally falling off.And look at him now! He's been in foster care for 8 months and he is a whole new dog! Just look at what some love and kindness can do. Oscar is great with other dogs, good with kids and we're not sure about cats (most would be bigger than he is!). He's super snuggly and is fine if left outside his crate while his people are gone. This is the darling Annaleigh. She's a 3-year-old pitbull from Alabama who has been in foster care for a full year.Annaleigh had a litter of puppies while at the shelter, and then she developed a bad case of mastitis. She became more shy and timid after that, but she is slowly making her way back out of her shell. Annaleigh LOVES to snuggle, she loves other dogs and is fine with cats.
