I had a gorgeous wedding on Friday at the Basilica, and man was it HOT. And I wasn't even the one in formal wear! But this was such a wonderful and intimate wedding -- only 20 guests! I'll blog more about it later this week (and more photos!), but I wanted to tease you just a bit with this beautiful bride. For your internet shares of the day:+ This made me snort with laughter at my desk. Happy Monday!+ This story stunned me. As if freshman year isn't hard enough?+ Have you heard about this gravity blanket? I am intrigued. But for now I'll just throw a heavy quilt on the bed for winter.
My friends Andrea and Ben just got a new puppy and can you even believe this creature?!? He's smaller than a bunny! We played around with him in the studio yesterday afternoon, and as Ben said afterwards, "Well this has been the world's greatest lunch break!"I'm dropping a few more images of the pup below -- Enjoy!

For your internet shares of the day:+ Go get 'em Jimmy! Bravo.+ I want these jeans.+ This might be delicious.
Yesterday, I got to photograph my friend's new house. You might have seen it on the internet before she bought it. This particular friend of mine has *serious* style. Her previous home blew me away, her clothes are fabulous, and she's just an overall amazing lady. For instance, she was giving me a tour of the home, and we got to the storage area in the basement."What is *that*?" I ask."Oh! That's a burlesque costume! It's a skirt that looks like a bunch of grapes!"I mean, who has such amazing finds in their basement storage? Not I.Below are a few more shots from the house. They are going to take down some of the wallpaper soon (replacing it with more modern patterns) due to wear and tear or personal taste. This shoot was to document the in-between before the makeover. Pretty spectacular, if you ask me. (And of course I took photos of the animals. How could I resist?)

And now for your internet shares. Lots of food in here ... you know how I love to cook when the temperatures drop!+ Pumpkin gnocchi with sage butter sauce. Yup.+ Chicken Parmesan meatballs. Wow.+ And for the unhungry among you (who is THAT?!?), have you seen the new household line at Target? Fabulous.
Well, who could help but post more photos of this beauty, eh? I am smitten. And I happen to have two shoots today along with a very long hair appointment (priorities!), so I need to post some older photos that I have at the ready to save time. But really, I would post these anyway. Because, wow, is this creature gorgeous OR WHAT!?
For your internet shares of the day:+ The best idea for high school IDs.+ Back when people weren't so greedy.+ Amazing fireworks!
Somehow, in the craziness of last week and birthday-party preparations, I forgot to blog on Friday. Whoops. But I *did* do something fun that day! I went to a rock show. WITH MY HUSBAND. ON A DATE. Oh man, was that necessary. We started out by grabbing dinner at one of my new favorite spots, PinKU -- which specializes in Japanese Street Food (and is super reasonable and delicious). If you haven't been, I suggest it. Get the crispy shrimp. And then we went over to St. Paul to see Spoon play at the Palace Theater. Frankly, I cannot begin to count how many times I've seen them play because I've seen in stores and SXSW performances and First Ave shows (and Divine Fits shows as well -- which I LOVED even more than the Spoon shows).Right when we walked in we ran into two great friends, and then as I was shooting from the pit I saw another friend piled right up front (if you know him, you're not surprised). And then I got home and saw online that I had even more friends there! FRIENDS! WE NEED TO COORDINATE THIS BETTER! But really, I'm just happy so many fine people enjoyed the show. Here are a few more shots from the show.
For your internet shares of the day:+ I want this book for Christmas please. PRETTY PLEASE.+ These doppelgangers made me laugh!+ EXACTLY. PREACH IT.
This weekend, Ezra turned three. There was cake and cupcakes and so many presents and so many books and a big-boy bike and yellow everywhere. We had roughly 15 kids at the house (along with their parents) and yard games and sidewalk chalk and a basement rave with glowsticks and Justin Timberlake.I fell asleep before my child that evening. But you guys? I think he had fun.
For your internet shares of the day:+ This movie reminds me of Atomic Blonde, which I loved, so count me in! (And really, I could just watch that Atomic Blonde trailer over and over and over and over....)+ Pumpkin granola? Get in my mouth.+ House envy.
Oh, the happiness my heart feels when getting dogs into my new studio space! Such a glorious feeling. And that dog up there? Prince (yes, that's his name), he was like Merlin had come back to me. The soul of this dog matched mine to a t, and I was just so happy to be working with him.Not to mention his crazy good looks! These dogs, Afghans, are so dang exotic. Below are just a few images -- I haven't even made it through the entire take yet. Which means you might see this guy again tomorrow. As if that could be a bad thing!?
And here are some extra juicy internet shares for today. Enjoy!+ Want to see the air bnbs that famous people rent? Like Beyoncé? Here you go.+ Why nature freaks me out.+ Don't be that person. (Although I do order hot tea at restaurants. Sorry!)+ I shoot Nikon, and I have for years. And hooo boy does this piss me off.
I'm working out of the studio a lot this week because, well, I do have shoots happening here. But also? Our house is getting a new roof. And that, my friends, is LOUD. So I'm working downtown a little more than usual.I still don't want to do a big reveal of the studio space yet because I'm waiting (maybe not as patiently as I should be) for a statement piece of furniture to arrive. Until then, here are some detail shots to hold you over. One thing I love about this place is the textures. Yum.
For your internet shares of the day:+ Just look at these beards.+ Parenting in Italy. I love the names.+ The letter Obama left for Trump. Mine would have been a little different. Which is why he is a world leader and I am a mouthy photographer.
