Since I worked that gorgeous wedding that posted yesterday on Memorial Day weekend, we booked a cabin up north for the following weekend so we could have some much-needed family time. And that was the BEST. DECISION. EVER.
This was the spot I found (bravo!), and it was perfect. We spent mornings on the dock watching fish or reading on the beach or working out in the screened-in porch watching cranes fish for breakfast. We took many pontoon boat rides, had picnics outdoors, roasted marshmallows and watched eagles hunt. We heard the wind through the pines and the loons calling across the lake. It was the best.
Plus, the cabin is actually TWO cabins on one property, so our friend Sharon rented the other one. It was so fun!
I also took some video footage, which I’m hoping to put together this summer (time permitting). But in the meantime, here are a few stills from the vacation. Ezra played mini golf for the first time and LOVED it, so there will be more of that in the future for sure!
