I attended a photography workshop last week, which has really left me inspired. It has had me thinking about my work differently all week and pushing myself to go a little bit further and to get a little bit more out of each session. And while I’ve been thinking of stretching my limits, I decided to take another shot with film.
Of course I started out with film (because I’m ancient), but once I got a digital camera, I grew so much as a photographer because I could see results instantly and learn from them. That said, the look of film just cannot be beat. And the magic of getting photos back and not remembering everything that was on the roll? That is an amazing feeling right there. So I dug out my old film camera (this one, for the curious) (yes, I wish it were black, but I’m not leaving it behind — it takes great pictures!), and I ordered some film (above), and this week a new adventure begins. Wish me luck.
